WebRaising brings together students from the Art Institute of Atlanta and non-profit organizations from the community. Student teams work with non-profit organizations to develop a simple but functional Web site. While the planning for the event may take several days, the activities culminate in the gathering of students, non-profit partners and faculty and staff of the Art Institute on one day to ‘raise‘ the Web site. The concept takes after the community based ‘barn raising‘ wherein people came together to help raise a barn for one of their members.
